This is done on the the 14th bright fortnight of Baisakha. Nursingh is the 4th incarnation of Lord Vishnu and killed the demon king Hiranyakashipu. hiranyakashipu was killed by Nurshingh on the full moon day of Baisakha. So Jagannatha Jaganatha Puts Besha on this day. one of the name Baladev is Sheshadav (Basuki). For this Shree Baladev with a seven hooded snake on his head is decorated with Nursingha Sahadev Besha on the said occasion.
Snana Yatra of Baladevjew is Performed on the full mon day of Jyestha. On this auscipious day Gajanna Besha of the jews is done. On the snana Purnima the deities are taken out on the Snanavedi. After completion of the ceremonial bathe, the deities are dressed like Gajanana or Ganapati.
On the full moon of Baishakha the jews of Baladevjew temple dressed with Gajauddharana Besha. In this Besha the devotees see Baladev with Halayudha (Ploughshare) and Jagannatha with conch in one hand and disc in other hand. The portrait of an elephants being attacked the crocodile is placed in the water filled floor of Garvagruha. Shree Baladev and Jagannatha wear this Besha as a sense of devotion to the grace of God.
This Besha is observed on the 12th day of Bright fortnight of the month of Asadha or just on the day the chariots Brahma Taladhwaja reaches Simhadwara of the temple on the chariots Lord Jagannatha is dressed liked Shree Rama and hold a bow and arrows. Baladevjew is dressed like Laxman. Bharat, Satrughan, Hanuman and other side figures are also displayed. these are made out solapitha and wooden twigs . Devi Subhadra is dressed like Seeta.
